Available in Gap stores nationwide, we are pleased to bring you the latest collaboration by PureThread’s Jill Heller, Guisy Bettoni, founder of the C.L.A.S.S. eco textile library, and Gap’s product development team.
Shinnagai's dedicated laboratory of skilled engineers has discovered a new patented technology that can transform natural dyestuff into a nano level, and combine these materials with Oekotex certified environmentally safe chemicals. The process, known as the “Botanical Colorball” technique, extracts dyes from seasonal fruits and flowers -- and even green and black tea! The new technology enables the dyeing of any textile fiber in a variety of stable and fast colors that now meet the global standards expected by the fashion industry. Natural dyes from cherry blossoms, sunflowers, gardenias, pansies, olives, mallow bark, and carnations were used to create the botanically dyed tees all available in over 200 flagship Gap stores in the Spring of 2015.
