Kate Wendelborn studied fashion design at Fashion Institute of Technology, and subsequently was an assistant designer and stylist at Victoria Bartlett, VPL. In 2015, Kate launched her namesake brand, WENDELBORN with her first collection made up of chunky cashmere sweaters in trendy cuts and colors. Designing for the woman who wants something practical but also different, someone who likes clothes with a bit of attitude and perspective, Kate Wendelborn continues to emerge as one of the leaders in luxurious knitwear.
"In many of my pieces you can see subtle signs of how it's made like exposed darts, seams, etc. A piece that has become quite popular with this idea is my 'inside out silk bodysuit. Another one of my signature items is the use of color in a refreshing way. In the bodysuits as well as the chunky cashmere knits you can see this", says Kate.

In 2017, Wendelborn introduced a broader collection showing a more cohesive wardrobe focusing on wearability, beautiful color, knits and denim.

The proportions are impeccable: artfully dropped shoulders and extra-long sleeves that graze the tips of your fingers. In either 100 percent cashmere or an alpaca blend, they’re the kind of pieces you’d love to lose yourself in.
