It’s a new beginning, and Pure Thread has a new web presence as well. For the past four months we’ve been busying ourselves behind the scenes, crafting a website that would be original, unusual, interesting, but not unfamiliar.
I am so happy to relate the extraordinary changes that have been happening with me and in my life. As many of you know, in April I moved to Sag Harbor, NY, a quaint and magical little town. This shift for me is a deep and personal choice.
It took me a few years to fully wrap myself around the idea of using linen for my fitted bed sheets. I opted for organic cotton because it felt soft and gentle against my skin. But now, being more educated about the ecological benefits of linen, I can honestly say that I use more linen products than cotton in my bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and upholstery.
Keeping with the 25 year old brand’s intention of redefining fabrics and altering the perception that luxury must be traditional, Jill Heller and C.L.A.S.S. founder, Guisy Bettoni, introduced the TSE design team to the Rico fabric by Tessile Naturale.

Julie researched different types of orchids, deciding to make a pot that did not detract from flower, but gave it a foundation for the flower to grow upward. Orchid roots are strong, so she wanted the container to reflect this more than just a glazed flower pot.
